Sam dear, the cutting yourself off and stopping what you want to say because of the people around you is one of the biggest issues you had at the start of your relationship with Miguel. Now you've added Robby to the mix.

Daniel's says it's been a long time since there's been more than one student in Miyagi-do. I wonder if he means he and Julie trained together at one point or counts that, or if he counts himself and Sam together. Or if he means all the way back to Sato and Mr. Miyagi.

Johnny's classes are an hour. He has a 4 pm class and a 5 pm class.

If I'm not wrong season 1 and 2 are the only times Johnny has money from this venture right? Where he's not scraping by?

Johnny gets a new term he's unfamiliar with and thinks prank call. He really needs Miguel to like help him with interactions.

I never noticed their pun food shirts before. I love it. Cobra Kai and Miyagi do truly break up all the childhood best friends. So far we've got Sam/Aisha (repaired temporarily), and soon Demetri and Eli, and eventually these two.

Also Hawk's nicknames are unoriginal, shithead 1 and shithead 2 aren't creative.

Aisha's choice is a little better (Though i mean still mean) Mary-kate and asshat.

I originally thought was embarrassing for Johnny to have happened in front of Kreese. But also very telling of how much they love Johnny and the class. Because they had to have all practiced that. But then after the dallies seeing Kreese say fall in and all the cobras fall in a circle behind him giggling makes me think it's a time honored tradition for cobras to be a little silly.

However, as much fun as they're having, maybe not the best choice with a guest around.

I also feel like they're very good at telling Johnny's moods and Aisha going straight for the second punch being a joke seems a little out of character based on how they a. Know Kreese is there and b. know that Johnny's sounding kinda pissed off.

To be fair I think if Johnny had explained who Kreese was they would've been much more serious. He did tell them to ignore Kreese, but at the same time he could've been someone trying to determine if they were good enough or if Johnny was a good enough sensei and whether their dojo would stay open or not. Like an inspector of sorts.

Emergency is at the North Hollywood location, which we haven't been to yet. Vic got taken by Tom Cole without letting there be a counter along with top two sales people during the last week of the month on purpose for timing. So Tom Cole is wasting money stealing Daniel's staff.

Amanda is right. Daniel said he could balance teaching and doing work. It's weird anyway that the kids are there to study from him during the day and that he can't be at work during the day. It's not like Shannon's home. And Sam is Daniel's daughter, so why not evenings after work? And this is a big thing that means they're short on people and Amanda needs Daniel there, the company needs him.

Sheila runs errands as well. He told Amanda to call Sheila to go get a suit from his closet, so I guess Sheila has a key to the house?

Even though his compromise is let's sell 10 cars in one day, it really does show how good Amanda and Daniel work together.

There is pretty much no food in Robby's fridge. But he drinks 2% milk. Though the milk jug is almost empty. He also had one microwave half eaten container and one take out container and one 7 up.

This isn't particularly safe either. I know we tend to note all the unsafe stuff Johnny puts his students through, but the amount of rocks and stuff around and probably under that balancing board, not to mention how much algae and stuff is on the ground of that pond. Plus it's a floating wooden disc, you slip and that thing hits you in the head???? Not to mention the board is wet.

Pretty much both cobra kai and miyagi do students are making valid arguments for safety and all are being ignored.

Johnny should've started hosing the first batch of kids down long before they all got out.

Kreese wasn't originally supposed to come back the next day for a third lesson, but he's working on it for sure.

Miguel's got keys and bringing food over because Carmen doesn't want Johnny eating slim jims for breakfast any more. 😂

Johnny's added two new take out menus to his fridge and moved Robby's photo up to eye level.

Also how on earth can Miguel tell from a 2010 photo of Robby in soccer gear and glasses that that is Robby? Like if he flipped it over to the back and it said something like Robby Keene's soccer at such and such school for such and such team I'd get it. But I can't tell that's Robby so how can Miggy?

Kreese is being a dick to the mini mart owner who last we saw seemed to be on better terms with Johnny due to mutual unhappiness over rent being raised.

Kreese bought Johnny his favorite Coors but can version. How much money do you think Coors gave cobra kai to be Johnny's beer? It's in every episode. Do you think William Zabka actually has to drink it or do you think they fake the cans and bottles and put like soda in them or something?

Kreese's almost all of us could've meant silver until he said my condolences.

Johnny saying "you don't know what you're talking about man" is maybe the only standing up to himself he does. And he is being honest. Daniel is unaware of the situation.

Kreese moving in and Daniel not clocking the way he shrugs off Kreese's hand and moves away always gets me.

No Daniel, no. You came to ask if Robby could live with you or if he knew that Robby didn't have a home, but completely skipping that and not saying and it and just making assumptions...infuriates me. Yes you don't want Robby anywhere near Kreese, but also neither does Johnny. And Johnny has a right to know where Robby is and his situation. I believe this is has Robby been kidnapped part 3. Fueled extra by mongoose brain. I want to know how the conversation with Amanda goes after this. Like did you talk to Johnny? Yes. What did he say about Robby? We didn't talk about Robby. Honestly, Daniel should go in the dog house for that one. You can't just adopt/steal a kid without parental permission Daniel.

Haikyuu Band AU: Miyagi Girls

AU where all the Haikyuu dorks go to the same high school and are in the Concert + Marching Band together. 

Michimia – Tenor Sax

Joined in middle school with Daichi and chose tenor to honor her grandmother who played it

Isn’t the best player but is always trying her best because she has a hard time finding motivation to continue practicing and playing when surrounded by such good players

Once tried to confess to Daichi with a tenor sax love song composition she found on Musescore (place people can put their compositions on)

It didn’t go as planned and she swears her friends Mao and Chizuru to never speak of it again (Daichi didn’t understand it was a love confession and complimented Michimia on her efforts to learn and play a piece so well and will definitely move up in chair placement if she keeps it up)

She does steadily climb up in chair placement and only realizes her senior year that she is really good, it’s just hard to shine when everyone else shines just as bright as you do

Loves band to death and wouldn’t change her experience for anything else in the world

Aihara Mao (#2 Karasuno Girls) – French Horn, Color Guard (Marching)

Joined in middle school with Michimia to support her (and her crush on Daichi)

Is the one to convince Michimia to confess via song (she has it recorded for prosperity of course)

Does Not respect slackers and will hound anyone who isn’t putting in enough effort into practice (she tried yelling at Kunimi once but after he showed he can still play and keep up with the rest she stopped)

Can be very sassy, not over the top sassy and not supper subtle sassy, the kind of sassy where afterwards you kind of question your existence for a good hour, especially when it comes to their musical skill level

Has a very good friendship with Kaori and rule field performances together

Sasaki Chizuru (#11 Karasuno Girls) – Flute  

Joined in high school her first year to try something new, dove in headfirst, only knowing the basics a head of time due to researching it in preparation (made Keshin’s life a bit easier compared to teaching all the other high school band newbies)

Is the exact definition of the friendly, supper cute, can never get in trouble flute player

Doesn’t know how Suga and Yahaba became flute players, because… well, they’re them and does her best not to get on their bad side (which she will never be on because she is among the sweetest members in the band)

Exemplary calm squad member and always has a fun handy game to play during long pre-concert/performance rehearsals

One of the hardest to keep track off during band trips due to her always running off to load up on every souvenir her wallet allows for

Misaki Hana (Johzenji Manager) – Clarinet, Bass Drum 2 (Marching)

Been playing since middle school, and was a casual player at first, not supper committed till she entered high school and saw how far she could go when real passionate effort is put in

Takes crap from No One and she Will run you over like a bulldozer if you test her, especially for her band friends

Isn’t one to accept false praise, or to be lulled into a false sense of security about her skill level, and only accepts brutal honesty so she can improve correctly

Due to her no-nonsense attitude Keishin almost begged her to switch to drumline on her second day of band camp to provide some sort of stability for his current line up

She agrees cause who would turn down the opportunity to be on drumline?

Runa (Johzenji Manager) – Tuba; Pit (Marching)

Joins her first year in high school and is super intimidated by everyone so joins pit to start off in

Learns the most from Asahi who helps her practice her parts when he’s done with his drumline rehearsals

When concert season arrives, she leaves percussion for the tuba section cause they have the least rowdiest members of the band in it, even though they look the most intimidating

Struggled at first with the tuba (mainly with seating and proper playing position), but after Iwazumi and Ushijima’s gentle encouragements she catches up very quickly

Becomes really good friends with Yachi and Himekawa (Tsubakihara) and they have planned, controlled panic attacks together before performances (Yamaguchi joins them sometimes)

Kanoka (Niiyama) – French Horn, Mellophone/Color Guard (Marching)

Got ‘dragged’ into band one day after school by Tanaka when she was being bullied, the band director was like ‘thanks for showing up, here’s an instrument’ and gets really into it and excels because of course she does

Has a really good ear for pitch, not perfect pitch but pretty damn close, until she does after entering high school (Semi played a big part in that)

Sort of, kind of, maybe, wants to join color guard in high school but doesn’t feel like she fits into the aesthetic, being as tall and awkward as she is

Tanaka and Yonezawa convince her to go for color guard her senior year, emphasizing their color guard doesn’t have a specific aesthetic to them (they point to Fukunaga, Hanamaki and Nametsu for prime examples, and Yahaba during winter guard)

Is supper glad to finally let herself be in color guard her senior year and everyone there accepts her with open arms of course because this is Haikyuu still and everyone loves everyone and is supper supportive of each other

Yonezawa Maiko (#12 Niiyama) – Tuba

(First off, Haikyuu Wiki finally put a name to her so a huge thank you to whoever did that!)

Chose tuba when she first joined in middle school cause someone one told her girls can’t play big brass instruments (she made them eat those words when she beat them all out for first chair)

Assisted Mao in getting Michimia to confess to Daichi through the tenor sax love song (she’s a sucker for a good romance)

Races with Houshiumi with their sousaphones back to their dot during marching practice (Keishin has a mini heart attack each time they nearly collide with the other students when they aren’t paying attention to their surroundings)

Is all for her best friend Kanoka to do what she wants and promises to beat up the people who will get in her way

Freaks out when she first meets Goshiki because it’s like looking in a mirror (Goshiki, the poor boy doesn’t know what to do and Tendou is sent to address the situation)

Ootaki Mako (Shinzen Manager) – Trumpet

Started in middle school needing an elective, and liked how crisp her band director made the trumpet sound

Really enjoys marching band and practicing outside because even if they don’t move around as much as the sports teams, she definitely counts sweating buckets as her daily dose of exercise (now her parents can’t complain about her not being healthy)

Helps Osamu coordinate with the band parents in prepping the meals for the band

Hangs out with Mao and Kaori outside of school and band a lot (they love highlighting all the stupid shenanigans the second years get themselves into)

Adds a nice balance to the trumpet section and gets them to either calm down when they get all riled up or enables it to a point where the conflicting parties solve their problems with a fight to the death (in a completely civil and legal manner of course, she doesn’t want to give Keishin more paperwork)

Miyanoshita Eri (Ubugawa Manager) – Alto Sax

Been in band since elementary school, making music so ingrained in her she always has a tune stuck in her head at all times

Like she can hear full symphony concerts playing in her head while taking tests during class (it makes solving algebra more dramatic that it should be)

Sticker creator and collector and has decorated all of her band items with them (water bottle, instrument case, portable foldable music stand, music folder)

Assists Yachi in designing all of the band promotional materials and section shirts

Was super stoked when she was finally able to play in Jazz band in high school, now she can really let go with her skills during the impromptu solo parts

Chapter twenty three: “Bokuto Hates Goodbyes”

“Tendou is going to quit volleyball after graduating. He wants to go to Paris to work as a chocolatier” you said, never taking your eyes off him. You sighed again, trying to find the words to tell him. Bokuto noticed your pause and smiled at you waiting for you to reply. “And I... I'm going with him.”

Koutarou's smile faded, along with the hope in his heart. 

Silence took over the atmosphere. You were trying to look at Bokuto, but he kept his gaze on the snowy ground. Neither of you had opened your mouths to say anything. Maybe because the correct words did not exist to express what you were feeling at that moment; you, remorse, and Bokuto didn't even know what to feel. Sadness, melancholy, happiness because you are going to fulfill your dream... fear of being forgotten. 

So many things to say, feel, live. 

“Why?” he asked, still with his gaze on the floor.

“Why…?”  you lashed several times. “Because I want to be a baker, fulfill my dream and my grandmother's... It's what I want, Kou.”

Koutarou started to shake his head from side to side, his hands over his hair. 

“Yes I know, but Paris?”  Bokuto looked at you for the first time, his eyes filling with tears. “That's like a million miles away!”

The snow kept falling on you two and the cold seemed to increase, but neither appeared to notice. The moment seemed eternal: Bokuto's tears that still did not come out, the imminent farewell, the silence that still continued ...

“We can continue to be friends, Koutarou, you shouldn't worry” the Owl turned to the opposite side of the school, and started walking away quickly. “Bokuto! Bokuto!” there was still no response on his part. “Koutarou, wait!”

Even though in his mind Bokuto had planned not to return, hearing his name come out of your mouth once more, he stopped short. He quickly turned to see you, your nose was red from the cold, and smoke came out every time you spoke when you apologized to him.”

“I don't want to be friends” shouted Bokuto looking straight into your eyes, with a tear rolling on his cheek. “I do not want you to go! W-we're just getting to know each other! It's not fair.”

Bokuto pouted while still staring at you. 

“We still have time, I won't be leaving for another month,” you said, but you knew it wasn't enough time. Not even a thousand years would be. “We'll talk on the phone!”

Promises that were very difficult to keep. Even if you wanted to, with the exams that would be shortly, and then in the cooking academy, it would be impossible to maintain much contact. You didn't know if you could even keep it with Emiko and Wakatoshi.

“Don't say things that later won't be true,” Bokuto said for the last time, wiping the tears that fell from his eyes. “Bye, y/n.”

And in a last act of desperation, you grabbed Koutarou by the wrist and then grabbed his coat tightly, then brought your lips together with his. 

After a few seconds, the light of a flash interrupted you.

“I'm sorry?” Emiko said with a nervous little smile. She had taken a picture of you kissing, and now she was slowly walking away so she could escape your creepy gaze. “I better go, haha. Byeee.”

Again the silence had taken over the environment. But this time, Bokuto's face was completely changed. His cheeks were flushed and he had a big smile on his lips.

“You like me too?” he asked suddenly. 

And even though you were speechless, you were able to whisper a little “yes”. Bokuto without warning held you with his arms, hugging you, and then started jumping up and down several times.

“Wait, we were fighting two minutes ago,” he said, making an angry face, but then his true colors showed and he started laughing. “Hey Hey hey! It no longer matters, we must take advantage of every second. Get ready, y/n, I'll come tomorrow at nine in the morning! Well maybe not that early, but I'll come before lunch!”

And here was another example where you could see the captain of Fukurodani change his mood quickly.

You said goodbye and you entered the academy again, thinking about how to assassinate Emiko. 

Tomorrow would be the last day you would see Bokuto in a long time.

And maybe forever.

Just as Koutarou had said the night before, at eleven in the morning he was at Shiratorizawa's gate, waiting for you to come out. It was not as early as he would have liked, but he had also arrived very late at the hotel, so he needed to sleep as well. Even though you were already walking towards the exit, two people arrived before you.

“Hello, Bokuto-san,” Tendou greeted. “Let's get straight to the point, what are your intentions with the little y/n? Ushijima and I are not very convinced that you go out with her so often. You were too late last night, and now it's too early. I hope you are not doing strange things out there. This is not Tokyo, my friend.”

“He is not your friend, Tendou” Ushijima said in a whisper, with his deep voice.

“I know, best friend, but I want to intimidate him” Satori whispered back, but he didn't realize that Bokuto had heard everything. 

In the distance, you came walking next to Emiko. You had already forgiven her for last night's photo, although she still hadn't deleted it from Twitter, and had even put it as your profile picture for a few hours until you noticed and took it out. You can tell that Tsukasa almost ran out of roommates. 

“Hey, aren't those Satori and Wakatoshi talking to your boyfriend?” She asked you, pointing to your friends and the one who wasn't your boyfriend really.

“I'm going to kill them.”

You sped up your pace to get there as quickly as possible and avoid disaster before it happens. But to your surprise, when you got to where the three of them were, all you could hear was laughter. Yes, even Ushijima.

“What is happening here?” you asked, raising an eyebrow at Satori, who you thought was responsible for this situation. And as always, you were right.

“Oh, nothing, y/n. Just old friends remembering old times” said Tendou with a rather forced laugh. Then, Ushijima and Bokuto also began to laugh out loud, while Koutarou made a danger signal with his eyes, and Emiko watched the situation in disbelief.

“I think Koutarou and I should go now” and before any of your friends could say anything, you grabbed him by the sleeve of his jacket and trotted off to Miyagi's main park.

Behind you, you could hear Tendou's screams calling for you to come back, but you ignored them and kept walking quickly in front of Bokuto.

Arriving at the park you could see several children with their parents playing in the snow, despite not having snowed today, there was still a little snow on the trees and grass.

“Thanks for saving me, things were getting ugly there,” he said as he took your hand that was on his sleeve, to be holding hands normally. “I have bad news.”

More bad news? You didn't think you were going to be able to endure another misfortune this weekend. It seems that Bokuto noticed your desperate face and squeezed your hand tightly to encourage you.

“They have suspended my bus for tomorrow, they say there will be a snowstorm in the afternoon so they have changed the schedule.” Nothing went right for tragic volleyball lovers. “I'm leaving tonight, so we can't see each other tomorrow.”

The world fell at your feet. How could everything go wrong for you? A lot of drama has existed lately.

“And now what?” you asked him.

“We live in the moment!” and without saying anything else, Bokuto started to run towards the ice skating rink, never letting go of your hand. 

The ice was full of small children, who watched Koutarou every time he made a few meters and fell letting out a scream. The kids laughed at the Owl's exaggeration, causing him to make it even more dramatic to obtain more laughter. Every time you fell, Bokuto would rush to get up and ask you if you were okay, even if you were laughing at yourself and had not suffered any injuries.

After skating for half an hour or so, you decided to go for lunch because it was already quite late. You went to the same cafeteria that you had gone to the day before, and you ordered something warm since today's temperature was even colder than yesterday’s. 

At the end of lunch, Bokuto asked you to show him around the city, although there was not much to show as it was quite small compared to Tokyo. You showed him where Karasuno High was, but you didn't go there since it was relatively far from where you were. He took several photos and sent them to Akaashi, and then to his mother. 

The hours passed quickly, reaching the time of curfew, which meant that you had to go back to school, and Bokuto to his hotel to find his bags and go to the station. Unfortunately, you could not accompany him before his bus leaves. 

“It's time to say goodbye,” you told him once at the entrance of the academy. "Thanks for coming to visit me, Kou.”

Before saying something to you, Bokuto put his arms around you. This time neither of you were crying, nor were sad. You were happy for the time you spent together.

“Goodbye, y/n, I'm going to miss you” and with a lot of bravery in his heart, Koutarou brought his lips to yours one last time. 

“I promise to call you.”

And so, Bokuto Koutarou said goodbye with a sad smile, knowing that that promise was nothing more than an empty promise.

And that at the end of all, it would not be kept.
